White-winged Tern - Adult in breeding plumage

Actually, I went to Wena lake (Nimji side) in the hot summer afternoon having PG Plover in mind. It was quite cloudy like what we see in pre-monsoon days. There was reasonably good activity of RW Lapwings, Small Pratincoles, Little Grebes, Egrets, Herons, Spot-billed Ducks, Cotton pygmy-goose etc. On the shore, I saw Pied Myna, White-browed Wagtails, Larks, Pipits and Red Avadavats in good numbers. Suddenly, it became quite windy and there was commotion in reeds. Birds flew to safety. We saw this bird taking to air from neighboring reeds and was flying haphazardly away from us. On noticing it to be unusual, I hurriedly managed to record few shots. It flew away to another shore. We searched where it was seen landed but did not find it. Since it started raining we decided to search it again the next day.
